What's in our brands?Given below are the ingredients added to tobacco for each of British American Tobacco’s individual proprietary brands manufactured and/or marketed by British American Tobacco Caribbean & Central America.

Types of ingredients

In general, British American Tobacco Caribbean & Central America uses two types of ingredients:

  1. Flavourings are mainly used to influence the general taste of the product. Flavouring agents are not listed individually and appear as natural and/or artificial flavours and essences in the list of ingredients. In this manner, we protect the confidentiality of our brand recipes from competitors. Menthol is the only flavouring agent individually specified since its use is not considered privileged information and because menthol content is clearly specified on the packs and advertising of menthol brands.

  2. The second type of ingredients are known as additives and are generally used to give the final characteristics to the end product. Sugars, moisturizers, and cocoa are some examples.

This section includes information about the ingredients added to tobacco during cigarette manufacturing. The addition of ingredients is under the manufacturer’s direct control and is subject to confidentiality provisions. We believe it appropriate to share the information with public health authorities and the general public.
